At
Intrepid we try to live by a simple motto: holidays shouldn’t be hard. On the
other hand, we know there is a lot to get organised before your trip: visas,
passports, insurance, transfers, getting the neighbour to feed your cat. And although
pet care is a bit beyond us, as a full service travel agent we’ve made it our
mission to assist with everything else.
So if

Travel
insurance
We
recommend Travel Guard.
Travel
Insurance is compulsory on all Intrepid trips and is a condition of booking
with Intrepid. When selecting a travel insurance policy we require that at a
minimum you are covered for medical expenses, including emergency repatriation.
We strongly recommend that the policy also covers personal liability,
cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.
Your
insurance policy will need to be sighted by your leader on day one of your
trip. Failure to do so will mean exclusion from the trip. Please ensure you
have your policy number and emergency telephone number for your insurance
company. If this is unavailable please ensure you have the necessary
information required by your insurance company in case of an emergency.
We also
recommend you take out cancellation insurance. This may cover cancellation
penalties in certain circumstances if you have to cancel your trip unexpectedly
due to illness, injury or unforeseen circumstances. Unfortunately cancellation
insurance will not cover you if you change your mind.

Extra
accommodation and transfers
Once the
trip is underway, your accommodation and transport are all included (phew). But
if you want to arrive in your destination a little early or stick around and
explore by yourself, we can help you there. Hotels, taxis and airport transfers
– our customer service team knows them all.

touched down, made it to the hotel and slipped on some comfy walking shoes.
